I think this Stag Mule Deer was a little cranky that it was still snowing lightly three days after the initial storm. I only got a couple good frames of him. He was completely nonplussed by my presence and half the time wasn’t even facing the camera. I was actually a little disappointed that he didn’t run in terror or even charge me!
In his defense, it was early in the morning and maybe the continued snowfall coupled with my presence left him feeling thoroughly depressed. I’ll never know, but I did get quite a few photos of his rear-end while he looked off into the distance. Then, he sauntered down the ridge, disappearing into the wild.
