Archive: Stabbed in the Back

A photo from my archive taken in In New Jersey overlooking the Hudson river. The statue is dedicated to 15,400 Polish soldiers ambushed by Russian forces in 1939. This photo has always reminded me of the headless horseman and thus a good image for Halloween.

My Favorite Photographer

Daniel Doiy 1938 to 2010 - Images by Jason Doiy

Daniel G. Doiy passed away on Oct. 13 after a long battle with cancer. A life-long political and animal rights activist, he was born in 1938 in Akron, Ohio.

He served in the Navy aboard the USS Intrepid before moving west during the heyday of the 1960’s; finally settling down to work 26 years at Cal State Hayward as a systems engineer.

He is survived by his daughter Danielle Addleman (Aaron); sons Jason Doiy (Caroline) and Alex Craig; grandson Micah Addleman.

My dad was my biggest inspiration for me becoming a photographer.
